How Air Purifiers work
Air Purifiers work by removing pollutants from the oxygen that we breath in and out every day. There are several different methods of how Air Purifiers work and each one has its advantages and disadvantages. Each different method is more effective on certain pollutants and many of the better air purifiers on the market today use a combination of different methods.
One method is the use of an Ionizer Purifier which use electrically charged ions that bond with the airborne impurities and settle on an Ionizer plate that can be wiped clean. The use of Activated Carbon is another air purification method which uses the absorption of the contaminates. The material in this type of air purifier turns to solid after absorption and can then be disposed of.
The most common and well known method of air purifiers is filtration. The air purifier uses various filters to collect the contaminants in the air and cleanse the air.
